Supervises and oversees the activities of the branch staff, assists on the line as needed and scheduling of branch staff. Manages the branch in absence of the manager.   Assists with periodic performance reviews; provides ongoing counsel, training, development and motivation.

Assists the Branch Manager in educating, coaching and motivating branch staff to recognize and fulfill branch-related sales and service expectations. Provides ongoing communication coaching, and feedback to staff regarding performance and goals.

Directs daily operations by balancing ATM, and enforcing dual control procedures. Oversees proper completion of time sheets.

Sells bank products/services by explaining the features in a knowledgeable effective manner. Also completes and processes the corresponding documents and application forms accurately.  Deliver, follow and explain bank regulatory and policy information by discussing specific aspects with customers and distributing the proper account disclosures.

Expand and maintain current business relationships by performing business development calls to existing customers.

Counsel and advise customers by recommending the most appropriate accounts/services for their purposes.

Services all types of deposit accounts by performing opening, closing, renewal, and other file maintenance procedures. Requires extensive knowledge of computer terminal applications and supporting forms.  Complete consumer loan applications and close consumer loans, providing quality customer service. 

Handles incoming telephone calls by responding to inquiries, redirecting calls, researching and/or correcting any problems encountered. Prepare written correspondence to customers when applicable. 

Prepare branch reports and correspondence, insuring retention when applicable. 

Services safe deposit box customers by opening, closing and allowing entry to boxes; maintaining contracts and billing cards.

Insures all equipment operates as intended by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and vendor servicing as required.

Assist with monitoring day-to-day branch security and testing alarms.

Participates in maintaining acceptable ratings on all branch audits.

Complete monthly reports/audits. 

Perform administrative duties as needed.

Perform other duties as required.

Basic Knowledge

Duties require a working knowledge of banking, equivalent to an Associate Degree in an appropriate discipline. Must have good analytical, problem solving, customer service, oral and written communication skills.  Must have the ability to negotiate and make effective decisions.


Two to three years of progressively responsible banking experience with demonstrated sales and supervisory ability.
