OVERDRAFT PRIVILEGE DISCLOSURE
It is the practice of Rollstone Bank & Trust (RBT) to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and to conduct business in accordance with applicable safety and soundness standards.
OVERDRAFT PRIVILEGE CONDITIONS
Overdraft Privilege is a courtesy; it is not a line of credit. If you inadvertently overdraw your account, we will have the discretion to pay the overdraft, subject to the limit of your Overdraft Privilege and the amount of the overdraft fee (currently $30). The Bank is not obligated to pay any item presented for payment if your account does not contain sufficient available funds. Any payment by us of an overdraft item does not obligate us to pay any other overdraft or item, or to provide prior notice of our decision to refuse to pay such item.
You may be eligible for courtesy overdraft protection if your consumer account has been open for at least thirty (30) days, and you maintain your account in good standing, which includes at least:
- Continuing to make deposits consistent with your past practices, and depositing at least $400 in your account within each thirty (30) day period;
- Bringing your account balance to a positive balance within every thirty (30) day period for a minimum period of 24 hours;
- Not being in default of any loan or other obligation to the Bank; and
- Not being subject to any legal or administrative order or levy.
Payment by the Bank is a courtesy and not a right of the customer or an obligation. This privilege amount for consumer checking accounts will generally be limited to $800–$1,000 overdraft (negative) balance for eligible consumer checking accounts and $1,500 overdraft balance for eligible business/commercial checking accounts. Any and all fees and charges, as set forth in our Fee Schedule and Truth In Savings Disclosure, including up to $150 per day in insufficient/uncollected/held funds fees for consumers, will be included as part of this maximum amount. It may be possible, however, that your account will become overdrawn in excess of the Overdraft Privilege amount as a result of the assessment of a fee.
The amount of any overdrafts plus our Insufficient/Uncollected/Held Funds Overdraft Privilege charge (currently $30) that you owe us shall be due and payable upon demand. Each owner, and agent, if applicable, of the overdrawn account shall be jointly and severally liable for such overdrafts including our fees.
Order of Paying Checks and Other Items
Your transactions may not be processed in the order in which they are received and may affect the total amount of your overdraft fees. Our payment order of items is set forth in the Terms and Conditions of Your Account disclosure.
Other Optional Overdraft Protection Services
We offer additional overdraft protection services that you may apply for. These include a Line of Credit Overdraft Protection and Transfer Overdraft Protection, which links another of your RBT accounts to your RBT checking account. If you apply and are qualified for these optional services, you may save money on the total fees you pay us for overdraft protection services.
Ineligible Accounts and Limitations
Overdraft Privilege is available only for eligible checking accounts that are maintained in good standing. Savings, money market, public fund, charitable organization, some trust, and minor accounts are not eligible for this service. We may limit the number of your accounts eligible for Overdraft Privilege to one account per household and/or one account per taxpayer identification number.
Eligible Transaction Types
Transactions initiated for payment against your checking account(s), for which there are insufficient available funds, may be approved/paid by us using, and up to, your assigned Overdraft Privilege limit, including our fees. The eligible transaction types will include, without limitation: checks; ACH; transfers; Bill Pay; and regular, recurring debit card transactions.
With your consent, we may also approve/pay ATM transactions and everyday, nonrecurring debit card transactions. You may opt-in by calling us at 800.640.1166, visiting any one of our branches, or completing the form below.
You May Always Opt-Out
You may choose at any time not to participate in the Overdraft Privilege by notifying us. You can opt out of the program altogether, or choose to revoke consent for payment of ATM transactions and everyday, nonrecurring debit card transactions.
