As part of its 180th Anniversary celebration, Rollstone Bank & Trust is proud to award a $180 Community Grant to Up With Books(opens in new tab).

Up With Books provides new books to children and families who may not otherwise have the opportunity to own books of their own. The organization promotes reading and literacy by working with homeless shelters, food pantries and community organizations to connect children with books and encourage a lifelong love of reading.

Up With Books believes every child should have the opportunity to have at least one book in their home. Developing strong reading skills is essential to a child’s success, yet many children can fall behind their peers, particularly during the summer months.

Through the dedication of its volunteers and community partners, Up With Books helps put books into the hands of children and creates opportunities for them to discover the joy, imagination and possibilities that reading can provide.
